Aqurate is a hybrid team based in Timişoara & Bucharest (RO), building AI-driven personalization and search for ecommerce.

Teams use Teams for company communication, Jira for task management, and Confluence for internal documentation and knowledge base.

Client feedback shapes the product roadmap, which gets broken down into two-week sprints.

Most collaboration happens asynchronously: work gets written down first, as a message, task, or document, so people can pick it up on their own schedule. In-office days are used for real-time collaboration, alongside video calls and screen-sharing when needed.

The team values autonomy: people are trusted to take ownership of their work and act on their own judgment, without needing to be told what to do next.

Openings at Aqurate are posted on LinkedIn. The hiring process is kept lightweight and tailored to the role rather than following one rigid pipeline for every position.

For technical roles, candidates start with an async take-home test, completed at their own pace rather than under interview pressure. This gives people a chance to show real work without the added stress of a live coding session. From there, candidates move into one to two rounds of interviews, giving both sides a chance to figure out fit before committing.

Because the team works asynchronously by default, strong written communication is a real hiring bar, not a nice-to-have. Candidates need to be able to explain their thinking clearly in writing, since that's how most day-to-day work actually gets done.
