HeadshotPro operates with a small core team of four and is fully remote. The team works asynchronously via Discord.

The frontend stack uses Vue.js, Nuxt 2 and Tailwind CSS. Developers commonly use AI coding assistants (for example Cursor, v0, and GitHub Copilot) to move faster and ship UI work.

Typical day-to-day work is turning ideas and mockups into working code (improving onboarding flows, building features), optimizing landing pages and running A/B tests with marketing/support via PostHog, and owning frontend work from development to rollout. Bugs and performance issues are triaged based on PostHog recordings or support tickets.

The company expects full autonomy: you work whenever and wherever you want as long as your work aligns with company goals. The environment is fast paced and requires proactive ownership rather than hands-on management.

The company describes the process as a "personality hire" over a "skill hire". Cultural fit, autonomy and proactivity are key selection criteria.

To apply, you usually send a short pitch explaining why they should hire you. You have to include links and examples to back up your claims.

They note they may not respond to every applicant if the role receives a large number of responses.

Compensation is flexible: candidates are asked to propose a salary, and the company offers a phantom share grant (cash payout on company sale). The company also shuts down for two weeks at Christmas and allows additional time off as long as deliverables are met.
